1960 Dodge D100 Town Wagon It is believed to have been a Forest Service or National Park truck but there is no concrete documentation. The Government badge with “For Official Use Only” is still visible on both doors. After its service it was purchased, it was driven until ~1973 before it was parked. I purchased it got it titled, running, and drivable. It is currently parked inside my garage. This is a mostly original truck with a solid body. The original radiator has been swapped out, and I’ve added a temporary electric fuel pump. Everything else is as it was when it left government service. Excellent opportunity to own a rare piece of history and have a cool vehicle. Even out west, these are few and far between. The Town Wagon first appeared in 1956 to compete with the Chevy Suburban and International Travelall. The D100 was generally considered a heavy-duty machine and closer to a 3/4ton than a 1/2ton as was delineated by the D100 nomenclature. Originally, these did not sell well to the public who were leaning towards the more refined competitors, but government agencies snapped them up. Eventually, Dodge stopped production of Town Wagons and when they returned, they were relabeled as the Ram Charger.
