1962 MGA MKII Roadster – Outstanding Restoration | Matching Numbers Engine Included This 1962 MGA MKII Roadster is a rare, beautifully restored example of the final year of MGA production, combining rich history, meticulous care, and tasteful upgrades. With full documentation spanning over 40 years, this car offers provenance that is seldom seen in classics of its era. I am the second owner of this rust-free Roadster. The first restoration was completed in 1985, with only 10,000 miles added before I purchased it in 2019. Since then, the car has undergone an extensive professional restoration in 2024–2025, bringing it to a truly exceptional standard while respecting originality. Mechanical & Performance Original Numbers-Matching 1622cc Engine included (preserved in a crate) Currently fitted engine: rebuilt 18GH block, bored .020 over Rebuild performed by Custom Engines with all new internals Head work, flywheel machining, new pressure plate, disc, seals, throw-out bearing & clutch slave cylinder Approx. 300 miles since rebuild Front disc brakes – factory upgrade for MKII Cooling upgraded with aluminum radiator, electric fan + original belt-driven fan Converted to negative-ground 12V system with alternator inside a dyno case for OEM look Transmission serviced with fresh seals Body & Exterior Factory color Chariot Red, professionally refinished in Spies Hecker paint (used on Mercedes/BMW) Body fully disassembled, fenders removed, new fender piping installed POR-15 rust protection applied behind fenders, doors, and frame Select rechroming completed where needed Brand new black soft top installed + tonneau cover New windshield still in packaging (included) Rust-free with extensive photos of undercarriage and hidden panels available Interior Full black leather interior with red piping – restored to factory style Leather-wrapped dash with restored gauges Car fully insulated with FatMat sound & heat barrier Upgraded wood & polished stainless
