1964 Mercury Comet Caliente Convertible. Beautiful, rare, car that gets lots of attention. There were not a whole lot of convertibles made. Only in the Caliente model and only around 9,000 were produced. Car has a clean Kansas title. 289 V8 2bbl and C-4 automatic. New carburetor, air cleaner/filter, valve covers, oil breathers, spark plugs and wires, coil, Three core aluminum radiator, radiator hoses, belts, chrome dipstick, water pump, fuel pump, Chrome radiator fan, battery, oil change, coolant change, power steering fluid change, transmission filter and fluid, power steering cylinder/piston, and lines. All four brakes have been completely rebuilt, with the exception of the pads which were in good condition, including pistons, adjusters, springs, lines, and master cylinder. Interior completely redone including door sill plates, mirror, steering wheel cover, dash pad, carpet, door panels, seats, console, and visors. All new convertible top/zippered window, power top pump, lines, pistons, well liner, boot, and boot snaps. Trunk has fresh undercoating, board fillers, and new black carpet. New windshield, wiper blades, and Lakewood traction bars. American Outlaw wheels with Ford center caps with new fronts and almost new rears. Cons: -Instrument panel lights not working. -Paint is extremely shiny but it's close to 20 years old and is not perfect. Has a little surface paint bubbling. Looks awesome up to about 6 ft if you want to start picking on it then. All headlights, tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, and back up lights work.
