Plymouth Fury For Sale This has to be one of nicest & most beautifully designed Plymouth Fury's in the world. Every inch of this car was carefully thought out and finished using the very best of everything. Nearly $70,000 in parts and restoration costs plus 1000 man hours was put into this monster and it clearly shows. You never get that back but the journey is the joy! To describe this thing of beauty will take some time but worth every second. Lets start with the fit & finish. In a word, "Flawless"! The all original body has never had rust, has never been hit and has all its original body panels clearly shown. Originally, a California Black Plate car, the previous owner bought the car back in 2005 and the restoration began. It was completed just 2 years ago. Just 1500 miles have been added since the completion in 2015. The body was bead blasted, Epoxy Primer was added then base clear coated in its factory color Turquoise (KK), all PPG. The body is as straight as any youve ever seen. No dings, no bubbles, no fading, no flaws, PERIOD. All chrome, stainless, and aluminum trim has been redone to perfection. Front grill is perfect and was not cheap. Rare wide style rocker moldings, rare gravel guards and front & rear bumperettes are all perfect. Finding and refinishing these pieces was very time consuming and very expensive. Every piece is virtually as good as new and all NOS or original. New Legendary interior is completely new as well as all instruments, dash pieces, dash pad, carpet, new insulation, kick panel, rear package tray, cables, wiring and everything else has been refinished. No cutting corners!! Latches are cadmium plated. Everywhere you look you will see time well spent. All glass is original with the exception of the rear window. The original steering wheel has NO cracks at all and the horn works. A hidden 4 speaker audio system has been installed but never used. The motor is the music in this car! The motor is a 440ci block 540 Stroker engine. Its original 361ci engine is long gone. Billet Valve Covers, timing cover, steel crank, Indy Heads, Solid Lifters and a Demon 1000 re-sleavable carb adjustable between 850-1100cfm. Dyno shows 600+hp @3900RPMs, a conservative estimate for sure. Best performance was noted at 1000cfm. . 659lbs of Torque@4700RPMs. A flow cooler HP water pump and puller fan was added and activates at 205 degress and turns off at 180. The car runs 180 degrees ALL DAY. A monster engine built by Jack Boyd of Boyd Motorworks in NY. Compression is 10:1 with an enhanced oil capacity of 7qts. All electrical is new and upgraded. It has a hidden shut-off valve under the license plate frame where the gas tank filler would normally be. A custom alternator by Con-Rel puts out 100amps at idle due to the overdriven pulley. Ignition is all MSD.and mounted under the passengers side footwell away from the heat. Powermaster indexable high torque starter and alternator shut down to keep alternator from backfeeding electrical current to the ignition system; an NHRA rule. Full high end gauge package includes voltage, oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, transmission temperature and vacuum. Tach with shift light, Amber front headlights and many other details have been added to this incredible machine. Custom Chromoly roll cage, 5 point harness, fire extinquisher, unibody boxed and tubed front & rear. It is NOT tubbed!!! It is set up to look mean and it is, but it has never been raced! Fuel cell with baffle, Aeromotive Bypass fuel system with 2 filters done right. Shut-off behind license plate frame, Custom fuel sender actually works. Imagine that! Runs great on Premium gas. The photos show "DIESEL" stamped on the fuel cell but that was just the previous owners sense of humor. It runs on Premium pump gas, NOT not NOT Diesel. Custom 1/2? fuel lines were done right.. Transmission is a '64 front unit mated to a '65 tail unit. This allows a slip style yoke while maintaining the pushbutton shifting which is original to the car. It was built by COPE transmission. Everything is Heavy Duty! Pat Storey TC, 3200 Stall Converter has no heat issues, period! Custom Dennys balanced drive shaft. It has a deep tranny pan and has the tranny temp on the gauge cluster. It runs cool. Perfect! Exhaust is a custom setup from Accurate in Oregon. Huge 3? electronic QTP cut-outs with an actuator under the drivers seat. Sounds Incredible but if you want them quiet, shut them down to the rear exiting Dynamax. The rear end is a Dana 60, 35 spline power lock , 1350 yoke, Timken and again, All the best of everything. Rear end is a 3:73 making this car totally street ready. Caltrec unileafs, rear sliders instead of shackles. Custom offset rims by the WheelGuy gives plenty of rubber withOUT tubbing. Tires are Micky Thompson 295/55/R15 in the rear and Michelin 205/75/R15 in front. Custom Steer & Gear power steering pump rebuilt from a police cruiser of the day. Heavy Duty Sway Bars, Master power disc brakes, adjustable proportioning valve, all new suspension, all MOOG... Nothing was overlooked! The car is super stable. Wow, lets not forget. There is a line lock that is activated by the horn ring. The 3way switch on the drivers side dash is the on/off switch. Down is for normal driving. The horn blows as it should. Flick the lever up to use the line lock. Stand hard on the brake and HOLD the horn down to activate the line lock. Let go of the horn and fly away! For Sale by Dealer, Located in Old Bethpage, NY
