1966 4x4 Dodge W300 1 Ton chassis. Bought from a co-op for salvage but decided to make it operable. It was used on the business grounds and not on public roads due to no title. Later a 1969 D300 Cab and chassis with a bad motor with a good title was bought to replace the cab on the original 1966 truck. The cab areas that typically rust out were repaired on this truck. The rocker step areas are repaired with extra heavy floor plate material. The truck frame has been doubled with a 9' full C channel frame. This starts at the rear of the front leaf spring hanger and continues to the center of the rear axle. The engine had the bottom end new main bearing rolled in replacements and new rod bearings done in the chassis. The rear axle hub have factory spacers to make it a single tire axle rear. It appears that it could be a dually if these were removed. Power steering was added to the unit and duel fuel tanks. This truck was not intended to be a show truck, it was to be used as a daily driver. The truck has been repainted white, and has been stored in a storage building for approximately 30 years. The truck has not been started in those 30 years. Don't want to take a chance of trying to start it at this point due to possible damage this could cause to the engine. The title we have is on the 1969 cab and can be transferred to the buyer. The original 1966 VIN plate is mounted in the cab next to the VIN plate for the 1969 cab. 1966 Vin# 238 1583857.
