1969 Malibu Convertible Off frame restoration. Appraised by the Automobile Appraisal Association in 2014. It has been driven less that 2000 miles since the restoration and the appraisal. Convertibles this age are rare. This one is painted Ferarri red with black racing strips. See the accompanying photos for a list of options this car has. The car has a salvage title, however, it was completely rebuilt from the frame on up and the appraisal adjusted. due to the salvage title. Once a car has been restored from the frame up a salvage title is meaningless, however, the title still states salvage and that is why the appraisal was reduced. A copy of the appraisal is included The speedometer showed 36,201 miles when the restoration was done. After the restoration was completed, the speedometer was reset to zero. The car was stored in a garage in California for 10 years. It was inherited by a family member when the owner passed away. It was then restored. The 350 engine that was in the car was tested and reconditioned. The compression was good. The valves and the gaskets were replaced. The transmission and rear end are the same ones that were in the car when the restoration was done at 36,201 miles. New headers were installed along with new exhaust pipes and mufflers. The gas tank was removed steam cleaned and painted and reinstalled with new mounting hardware and new gas cap. New shocks and front springs were installed. Under the hood extensive chrome was added to the engine components. Anew battery and alternator was added along with a new starter. A new larger radiator was installed with an electric fan, which increases the output of the engine because it removes the load of the radiator fan. A new carburetor, new manifold, new electronic ignition system, new water pump, new spark plugs and wires and distributor, new oil pan, new hoses and belts, new breather, new fuel pump, thermostat, new chrome pulleys were all added.Body Style: ConvertibleDoors: 2Fuel Type: GasDrive Type: RWD
