1974 AMC Javelin — 304 V8, 3-Speed Manual Rare Manual | Tons of Recent Work | Drives Great! If you’ve been looking for a real-deal manual transmission AMC Javelin, this is your chance. These 3-speed manual cars are almost impossible to find running and driving — and this one is not a project. It’s complete, solid, and fun as hell to drive. Key Specs: 304 CID V8 3-Speed Manual Transmission (hard to find!) Original interior: headliner, carpet, and rear seat are all in nice shape Clean Arizona title (if applicable) Recent Mechanical Work (Done Right): Rebuilt cylinder heads – pulls strong up top Champion aluminum radiator (runs cool) New trailing arm bushings New distributor, spark plug wires & timing adjusted Rebuilt carb + new fuel filter & cleaned tank New rear shocks & thermostat New original-style Motorola alternator (recommend 150 amp Powermaster if doing long cruises) New battery & temp sensor Lubed window tracks + fixed cigarette lighter What It Needs: Exhaust gasket (sounds like a header leak) Hood paint is peeling + a couple small dings (hood & LR quarter) Heat & A/C not currently working Could use a carb spacer for better hot restarts I regularly take this car on 80-mile cruises at 65 MPH — it’s fast for a 304 and an absolute blast to row through the gears. Not a show car, but a solid, complete, and rare driver with character and charm. Comes with original chrome trim (removed for paint). Clean title in hand.
