1979 MG Midget – Low-Mile Drivetrain, Fully Sorted This 1979 MG Midget is a spectacular example of the iconic British roadster, refurbished in 2019 with receipts going back more than 20 years. With just 5,350 miles on the drivetrain, a freshened interior, upgraded components, and extensive documentation, this Midget is both a reliable driver and a strong candidate for collecting. Drivetrain & Mechanical Original drivetrain with only 5,350 miles – engine and transmission were in excellent condition and did not require rebuild Starts and runs beautifully – even after 3 months of storage, it fired on the first key turn All new brakes and brake lines for safety and reliability New battery installed during refurbishment Restoration & Upgrades (2019) All five wire wheels sandblasted and repainted, fitted with new tires Seats reupholstered to factory-correct look and feel Trunk carpeted for a clean, upgraded appearance Full LED lighting conversion, including: headlights, running lights, taillights, backup lights, license plate lights, dash lights, etc. New sun visors installed Nardi-style mahogany steering wheel added for a period-correct sporty touch Condition & Features Original soft top in excellent condition Original tonneau cover and boot cover – never used Includes three covers total (one in the box, one new, one currently in use) Original AM/FM push-button radio fully functional Heater and all electrical systems work properly Body repainted by a previous owner – door jambs and engine compartment not refinished Minor blemish on front corner panel (approx. 3 sq. in.) showing slight rust under paint (see photos) Original survivor engine bay consistent with its age Documentation Receipts covering more than 20 years of ownership and maintenance Key Highlights Low-mile drivetrain, never needing rebuild Beautifully refurbished interior with upgrades
