1980 Fiat Spider 2000 Convertible This is one of the nicest examples of this car you will find outside of a museum. Was purchased from an elderly couple who owned it nearly 30 years and was their 'date car'. He is a retired engineer and also an MSRA member, so anything this car needed was addressed immediately, with no expense spared. This includes, but is not limited to: This car is the fuel injected, 5 speed model. The car has just had a new horn installed, fresh Oil and Filter change Air filter this past Spring, new brakes in June, new timing belt - tensioner pulley, water pump, thermostat, Radiator hoses, valve cover gasket and fuel injectors in May. New fuel pump in May '20. New tires (at 67,000 miles) on PanaSport wheels in August of '19. New ANSA exhaust in May of '12. O2 Sensor, Distributor, Fuel Pressure Regulator and Spark Plugs replaced at 63,800 miles. KYB Shocks installed at 60,700 miles. Paperwork going back to 1994 comes with the car, as well as misc. manuals and literature, and a handful of other parts including - but not limited to fuel injection, steering box and more. The car looks to have been repainted once in period correct and original silver. It's a very nice application, but is showing its age. The car has a few scratches (pictured), and has one dent that is in the very nose - under the FIAT badge that has not affected the paint, is difficult to notice and is likely a candidate for Paintless Dent Removal. The interior is gorgeous and has had worn pieces replaced as needed. The stereo has a very nice sound. All lights and gauges work - including the clock! It has a roll-bar installed that does not interfere with the operation of the convertible top. The top itself is in more than usable condition with a slightly faded rear window. The underside of the car is near spotless as it pertains to scale, rust or scrapes. Doors, hood and trunk lids open and close easily and true. The car starts instantly with the ANSA exhaust giving a very pleasant burble to those standing outside the car while providing a quite ride to occupants while going down the road. The car shifts effortlessly into all gears - including reverse. The clutch pedal return spring is newer and thus creaks on occasion. The car tracks straight and true with the steering being direct and without play. This is truly a wonderful cruising machine.
