1967 Lincoln Continental Convertible, a fourth-generation Lincoln Continental designed by Ford design Vice President Elwood Engel. The only engine available was the 430 cu in (7.0 L) V8 carried over from the Mark V. It was bored and stroked to 462 cubic inches in 1966 & 1967’s, becoming the largest-displacement engine ever used in a Ford Motor Company passenger car. 462.0 cu in. - 7.6 L. 340 HP @ 4600 RPM. Compression: 10.25:1. Cylinder Block: Cast-iron, 4-barrel carburetor. New for 1966 was Ford's C6 automatic, designed for use in big block, high-horsepower V8 engines including this 1967. 2 - Granada Yellow (81444) driver quality paint. Medium Saddle Roll-Over Pleat Design Leather and Vinyl Bench Seat interior. Power everything: windows, door locks, seats. Beautiful Faux wood grain used in the door panels contributed to the Luxury and Elegance. Not used on a Lincoln since 1951, the rear doors were rear hinged (suicide doors). To warn drivers of open doors, a 'Door Ajar' warning light in the dashboard was used, as seen on many modern automobiles. With a vacuum-operated central locking system the rear door was latched to a B-pillar. The first four-door convertible from a major American manufacturer after World War II, power-operated top fabric convertible top folded and stored under a rear-hinged deck lid/filler panel.
