ONLY 299 LS5’s was produced in Oshawa and this is “One of 222” 4 speed cars. An Original documented Canadian LS5 M22 Four Speed Car with an Iron Clad Build Sheet provided by Vintage Vehicle Services of GM as well as the Canadian Specific Trim Tag with the Codes right on it! We would consider this a Running and Driving Above Average Project Car.. It needs attention all around including metal repair & paint and body. Car has been repainted may years back and shows it. Car has had the same owner since 1980. Or take the patina for what it is and enjoy. Originally the car Built in February of 1970 at the Oshawa plant and equipped with the following: Code 28 Fathom Blue Metallic Code D88 White Stripes Code 756 Black Bucket Interior Code GY2 3.31 Rear Axle Ratio Code LS5 454 ci 360 hp engine. Code M22 4 speed HD transmission. Code N40 Power Steering Code UM1 AM Pushbutton Radio with Tape Player Code U14 Instrument Panel Gauges – Tachometer & Clock Code ZL2 Special Ducted Hood (Cowl Induction) Code Z15 SS 454 package Currently the car Does Not retain its original drive train. It has a 1970 CTX Code 396 with a CF code Turbo 400 Transmission and CCF 3.31 Posi Rear Axle. It runs and drives fine, has a good set of BFG 245/60/14 tires and Turns Heads Everywhere. Has a few extra parts that will go with the car. The Body has been Painted Candy Apple Red Sometime in the 80’s by the past owner. The Mechanics of the car works well... Brakes, shifts, and runs down the road nice. Has working Head/Tail lights as well as Windshield Wipers. Interior is all there and driver quality. Headliner needs to be replaced. In summary this is one of the most desirable Muscle Cars of ALL and with it’s rarity of even less produced than the Mighty LS6 car it makes for a great investment. Drive it as is or tear it down for a restoration in any case you will have a Very Special car worthy of its Legendary Name – the “SS 454”!.
