1981 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Why Is This Car Special The second-generation Chevrolet Camaro was produced by Chevrolet from 1970 through the 1981 model years. We have a last of the generation 1981 Chevy Z/28 Camaro here at Skyway Classics that has almost everything looking stock as it did when it was new. Exterior The Z28 has great shade of maroon paint that really shines, flowing over the body panels which are straight, scooped Z28 hood, and rear spoiler, with the Z28 stripes and decals that ran from the beginning of the front flares to the bottoms of the doors. It has a front spoiler and fender flares much like its Pontiac Trans Am twin had, rear window slats, and the rest of the fit and finish is great as well.
