1958 Continental Mk III convertible. this car is a project. I've had this for about two years and I bought it as an unfinished amateur 'restoration'. My intention was to get it on the road as a driver. Since then I've gotten it running, braking and steering and for a time had the convertible top working, though it doesn't now. It will if you jump the relay behind the back seat. The good: It's a nice rust free body. The factory (resprayed) pink paint is in decent shape, a few scratches here and there around the hood where it was misaligned. All of the body seems look to align well with no sign of sagging or misalignment, except for the hood needing to be aligned. I rebuilt the carb and the engine runs great, starts up cold well, the transmission shifts well, and it brakes well, as I have recently replaced all of the wheel cylinders. Interior is in ok shape, no rips or tears, but some fading, dash pad is original and faded, etc... It would probably clean up better than how I describe it. It has many replaced components. It was kept inside in an enclosed public storage unit for many years by the prior owner and I have kept it inside a garage the entire time I've owned it. What it will need: I had an electrician working on the convertible top and at the time he had it working. He disappeared and left some of the wires to the ignition switch disconnected, so well it starts and the headlights work, none of the accessories nor the top do. Except for the top all of this worked before he started working on it. I have the shop manual with all of the wiring diagrams in it and most likely the wiring needs to be hooked up back to the switch and most things will work. I am not an electrician and don't have the time to address it. The positraction rear end makes noise and will need a new ring and pinion. There is a spare one in the trunk. It has a clunk in the front end, not sure of the source there. The power steering is not operable, probably a fluid leak somewhere.
