1965 Ford Mustang Convertible Project Factory A-Code 289 4V V8 C4 Automatic Transmission Brand New Power Top Edelbrock Aluminum Cylinder Heads Styled Steel Wheels It's hard to find that 'perfect color' convertible you have been looking for? If you are tired of the search this Mustang is in a pretty fun spot. It is a desirable A-Code 289 4 Barrel car with some tasteful upgrades on a solid panel car. Obviously this one needs to see some paint. It was sprayed with a sealer to keep it preserved until a color was chosen. The panels are straight with no visible rust issues. Panel alignment is good so we think this should be a straight forward car to paint. No obvious signs of a serious body collision are evident. The floors are quite solid with a repair done on the front floor pan, see pics. Frame rails and torque boxes are the originals and look great. The convertible top was just professionally replaced and fits tight. The hydraulic system works properly as well. Inside the interior is largely original with new carpet having been just installed. The seat upholstery does have some wear but presents nicely so it could be used as is for now & upgraded as finances allow. This convert has been fitted with an upgraded 302 complete with Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads for a significant power gain over stock. The C4 goes into gear quickly and shifts quickly. Mechanically this car feels great. The brakes have been serviced and work properly. The wheels are brand new reproduction styled steel wheels with Cooper Cobra tires.
