1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle For sale is an original 1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle, 4spd manual, 2 door convertible. It is a 100% complete turn-key with its clean/clear title in-hand, antique registered, recently serviced and ready to go, just needs to a driver. Please note this is a not a show car - it’s in overall good physical and mechanical condition but has its minor flaws and imperfections for its age. The car looks, runs and drives great! Bought s a project car back in 1991 from Northumberland Co, PA but just haven’t had the time to perfect it. No accidents, straight body, no rust/rot or dings, garage kept/covered, has never seen rain or snow, no pets and a non-smoking vehicle. The original Canary yellow paint is in great condition with some minor rock chips. Drivers side floor pans were replaced by previous owner, rocker panels, door bottoms and chrome bumpers all in great condition. The 4cyl engine has 130,156 original miles on it, doesn’t burn or leak oil, good compression, complete tune-up recently performed, new battery, distributor cap/rotor/points, condenser, spark plugs and new carburetor installed and tuned. The 4spd manual transmission has no issues, shifts smoothly, good clutch and brake system completely rebuilt. Original soft top operates and seals perfectly, full size rim/spare tire and jack included. Soft top has some minor cracking on the underside a small rip on the edge at drivers side, minor surface rust on undercarriage, radio doesn’t work, driver’s side window seal needs to be replaced causing window to sit improperly, vinyl dash has minor cracks, windshield washer sprayers not working, sun visors missing, heater fan not working, horn delete/relocated to button on dash, new tires needed (cracked), original seats have rips but are covered.
